Introducing SoBristol

Welcome to SoBristol, a unique new online magazine created to inspire the most engaged audience in Bristol and beyond.

Soft launched on Monday 7 March 2016, SoBristol celebrates the very best in arts, entertainment and leisure – aiming to inspire the most engaged audience in Bristol and beyond.

Following on from the eight-year success of multi award-winning SoGlos in nearby Gloucestershire, SoBristol is a smart, stylish and effortlessly user-friendly new online magazine – providing powerful advertising opportunities alongside quality editorial content exclusively written by journalists.

With an Editorial Hub team lead by SoPublishing’s group editor Michelle Fyrne, exclusive content on SoBristol includes news, guides, hot lists, interviews and event previews, as well as readers’ competitions and special offers.

SoBristol’s dedicated sections include Food, Drink, Hotels, Theatre, Comedy, Music, Culture, Film, Children & Family, Sport & Outdoor, Health & Beauty and Shopping.

Plus, SoBristol is also home to a comprehensive and painstakingly-researched directory of more than 500 venues across the city, so whether you’re searching for a luxury hotel in Bristol, one of Bristol’s Japanese restaurants or somewhere to listen to live music in the city – everything is just a click away.

SoBristol is the third title to be launched by independent digital publishing company, SoPublishing, which has simultaneously launched brand new wedding title SoBristolWeddings.

‘With up to 10,000 readers from Bristol already flocking to SoGlos each month, launching a brand new online magazine specifically about the buzzing city was a real no-brainer,’ SoPublishing’s group editor Michelle Fyrne said.

‘SoBristol has actually been in the planning stage for a number of years, with a great deal of time, effort and research going into the new title and the ‘So’ model as a whole, before we were ready for the soft launch.

‘We are absolutely overjoyed SoBristol is now live and have ambitious plans for it to become the number one destination for Bristol’s cultured, active and aspirational residents and visitors within a year.’

SoBristol’s soft launch gives the online magazine a strategic springboard from which to start building a loyal readership and social media following, introducing the title to key potential advertisers, as well as recruiting Bristol-based editorial and sales team members, before SoBristol is officially launched later this year.

For the very latest, you can join SoBristol on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest and don't forget to sign up for SoBristol’s free email newsletter too.
